Our Story
Burleigh Barrels is the brain child of longtime mates. What started out as a pipe dream for two beer loving locals during a beer fuelled trip across Europe soon became closer to reality when a prime location became available on the Gold Coast.
In amongst a global pandemic, Head Brewer Chris Smith got on board, and they soon commenced the build of their 1,500 litre brewery to supply the 24 tap Tap Room in their favourite part of the world, Burleigh.
Fast-forward to April 2022 and Burleigh Barrels opened its doors and poured its first beer. Since then, Burleigh Barrels has developed a core range of six beers brewed in house, all of which won awards at the 2022 Independent Brewers Awards. With new seasonal releases hitting the taps and an ever-evolving range of guest beers, there's always something to enjoy at Burleigh Barrels.
Taking from American heritage, Burleigh Barrel patrons are treated to an extensive smokehouse menu plus all the faves. Serving up delicious plates of mouthwatering low n slow BBQ goodies that are smoked using a propriatary blend of American and Australian hardwoods and smothered in their secret sauces made on site.
